David Jessop, ERSA Board member, completes his Raise it for Rathbone challenge to help spread awareness of the work the UK-wide Youth charity undertakes.
ERSA Board member David Jessop has completed a challenge set as part of the Raise it for Rathbone fundraising campaign to live off the charity’s Student Bursary for a week. This is a much needed method of financial support for many young people participating in skills activities throughout the charity’s delivery centres across the UK. The bursary provides the sum of £8 per day to help with travel, food and other necessary expenses so that individuals can complete their particular activity with the Rathbone teams.
David who is NCG, Intraining and Rathbone Training’s Chief Operating Officer experienced first-hand how difficult and challenging it is to try and make a little money go as far as it can – he even had to rely on a kind food donation from colleagues at Intraining in Leicester at one point!
Throughout the week David kept a video blog of his challenge – to see how he got on you can view his videos at the links below:
If anyone is also keen to support the great work Rathbone Training achieves with nearly 11,000 young people each year you can visit www.justgiving.com/raiseitforrathbone and leave a donation.
