How the Work Programme is exceeding its targets – ERSA briefing on Minimum Performance Levels
How is the Work Programme performing?
• The latest statistics show that the Work Programme is significantly outperforming its targets set for year three for jobseekers on JSA.
• While the targets for the Work Programme are based on performance across the year it is very pleasing to see that as a whole the Work Programme is already significantly beating its targets for young people on JSA (57.6 per cent outcome rate versus a target of 44 per cent) and for over 25s on JSA (46.3 per cent versus a target of 33 per cent).
• Performance within the ESA group remains a concern for the industry and a major area of focus. There is strong impetus on improving performance within this group and we expect that over subsequent quarters performance will go up towards the year-end target of 16.5 per cent but this remains a challenging customer group and one which is significantly under-funded.
