Bid Manager

Here at Serco we’re looking for an experienced Bid Manager to join our ever growing bidding team. We are looking for someone who is already in a Bid Manager role with a wealth of experience in the bidding world.

 

As part of this you’ll:

•    Provide high quality bid management services to bids of medium scale and complexity across UK&E on either an individual or portfolio basis. 
•    Manage and maintain essential bid documentation such as risk/issues/opportunities registers, action logs and competitor analysis.
•    Manage communications to and from the customer, internally within Serco and across the bid team in a timely and efficient manner. 
•    Manage and mentor more junior members of Bidding Services providing support to their continued learning and professional development.

 

What you’ll need to do the role

First and foremost, you’ll need to have experience working as a Bid Manager within a complex and varied bidding environment. Although there are no specific qualifications for this role the ideal candidate will be methodical, process driven and organised with a good attention to detail. You’ll be a proactive team player who is flexible, adaptable, and resilient. Lastly, you will need to have excellent communication skills including relationship development and stakeholder management.
