Further Details

We are recruiting for an Employment Advisor with a high level of knowledge of disability to deliver the Probation Education, Training and Employment (ETE) contract across the South Central region of England. Working closely with colleagues from Ingeus and the National Probation Service (NPS), you will provide support to disabled people who are on probation having completed a custodial or community sentence.

This is an office based post and the successful applicant will be expected to operate across the South Central region and may be based in different offices across South Central. Our expectation is that the successful applicant will mainly be based at Southampton or Portsmouth.

You will be responsible for progressing the client into ETE opportunities in their local area, brokering and signposting to existing provision, supporting progress towards their action plan, and helping your clients to move on and see a life outside of criminal behaviour.

You will deliver employability support through group and individual face to face support, ensuring that all support delivered is fully inclusive.

 

About You

You will have experience of working with disabled people and knowledge of probation or criminal justice work. Experience in an employment and training setting, of engaging employers to create job opportunities and pro-actively working in partnership with a wide range of statutory and community organisations and training providers to advance and progress your clients.
