Taking place The Labour Party’s Annual Conference (27 – 30 September, Liverpool) inside the secure zone

ERSA have partnered with DGA to host a breakfast panel at the Labour Party Conference (inside the secure zone) which will discuss…

Employment Support for Good Work
29 September, 8.30-10.30am

The event will bring together MPs, local authority and combined authority leaders, and employment support providers to explore how we can work together to engage people within their communities and support more people into good work.

At a time of significant change across the employment support landscape, the discussion will consider what effective local employment support looks like, how national and local partners can work together, and how we can reach more people who are economically inactive, including young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET).

The event will also feature findings from a new ERSA report examining what future employment support programmes can learn from decades of nationally commissioned provision. The report considers what has worked, what lessons can be learned, and how these experiences can inform the commissioning of effective employment support at a local level.

This will be an opportunity to hear directly from policymakers and those delivering employment support on the ground.

The event will be particularly relevant to service providers, local and combined authorities, commissioners, policymakers and others working to tackle economic inactivity and improve employment outcomes.
