Nadhim Zahawi, Minister of State for Education was kind enough to visit us in his role as MP for Stratford upon Avon.
As luck would have it, the Jobs 22 Stratford upon Avon team had just received word that they were the top performing team, creating the most long-term jobs for Universal Credit claimants in the area, so everyone was in good spirits.
Mr Zahawi brought great energy to our little office in Elizabeth Court as he learned about how the Restart Scheme is making a difference locally by giving access to training and support services that make positive impacts on individual journeys from unemployment to meaningful work.
Jobs22
The Restart Scheme is part of the Government’s Plan for Jobs which aims to help one million people in England and Wales back into employment. Jobs 22 was chosen to run Restart Scheme across East Central England; an area which includes Bedfordshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, North Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Staffordshire & Warwickshire.
We work with local delivery partners in each region, chosen for their expertise and standing in the local community. We prioritise working with small to medium sized organisations with specialisms in employability, health, housing, training, and education as well as public sector organisations including local government and FE & HE institutions.
