This award acknowledges an individual who demonstrates exceptional skill and dedication in engaging employers to create employment opportunities for jobseekers. The winner will be an individual who excels in forging connections and who also demonstrates an in-depth understanding of local labour markets and the needs of participants.

About the winners

Nicholas Ward, Reed in Partnership

Nick is a Senior Recruitment Manager on Reed in Partnership’s Work and Health Programme contract in Rotherham. Since Nick joined in 2018, his work with employers has been exemplary, creating opportunities for participants who would otherwise have missed out. To date, Nick has supported more than 300 jobseekers into work.

Samantha Cuffy, Women’s Work Lab

Samantha is a graduate of the Women’s Work Lab programme, which supports mothers back into employment. As Programme Manager, she has forged strong relationships with over 50 employer partners across Bristol, working in a range of different sectors. All those hosting placements for participants have offered to do so again.
