To support our exciting expansion of IPS across South Cumbria, we are recruiting a Senior Employment Specialist to join our friendly team.

This post will be covering areas within Lancashire, with travel involved. Consideration will be given to the preferred location of applicants, we have bases across the region.

You will manage a team of Employment Specialists and work face-to-face with clients (managing a 50% caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. Patients will be referred into the service via NHS mental health teams – including Early Intervention Services, Community Mental Health teams, and GP surgeries.

You will deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach, for which training will be given; providing person centred advice and guidance, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.

You will work as part of a mental health team, developing positive and integrated relationships, providing a holistic approach to recovery through employment.

We are looking for someone who holds a Level 3 in IAG or equivalent or has a minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience providing employability support, advice and guidance. You will also need to have experience of staff supervision and line management.

Having access to a vehicle to attend appointments and supervise staff is essential for the post.
