ERSA today welcomes the appointment of Esther McVey as the new Employment Minister.
Kirsty McHugh, chief executive of the Employment Related Services Association, the sector body for the welfare to work industry, said:
‘I am delighted that Esther McVey has been appointed as the new Employment Minister. This is an important time for the industry, with employment programmes gathering pace across the country. We are looking forward to working closely with the new minister to make sure programmes can maximise the number of long term unemployed jobseekers gaining and sustaining work.
‘We also want to thank Mark Hoban for his important contribution to the Department for Work and Pensions over the last year, which has been much valued by providers of employment related services.We also welcome Mike Penning to the department in his role as Minister of State.’
