In January 2025, the government announced the new Regional Employment Councils. The scheme aims to get thousands of offenders into stable work; expanding the model of prison Employment Advisory Boards out to the Probation Service and involving representatives from the DWP to improve links with Job Centres.
At this Justice and Employment Forum, we are joined by a representative from the Ministry of Justice to talk about the Regional Employment Councils and how the employment support sector can support this work.
