Women’s Employability Forum

16th July 2025

We are joined by Dr. Meenakshi Krishnan, Principal Research Fellow at Institute for Employment Studies.

Meenakshi heads IES’ programme of work on Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion research and consulting. She brings over 22 years of experience working across workforce equality issues, strategic HR, organisational culture, and leadership development. She works with employers and policymakers across private, government, and not-for-profit organisations to design and deliver more inclusive workplaces for women, people from ethnic minority groups, disabled persons, workers aged over 50, and other protected characteristics. Her research expertise lies at the intersection of gender equality and labour market policy, with a focus on women’s unpaid care work, parental leave, and childcare policy.

Women’s Forum Update:

The ‘Get Britain Working’ White Paper includes sweeping reforms aimed at achieving an 80% employment rate. We welcome that woman, particularly mothers, are to be supported into employment and to progress in their careers, as they can play a vital role in reaching the Government’s ambitious goals for growth.

This webinar provides you with an update and discuss how we can continue to work with policy makers to help mothers to reach their potential and support economic growth. Updates include meetings with DWP and MPs at Portcullis House.

The Women’s Forum is chaired by a group of women specialist organisations created to champion mothers in the skills and employment sector. Made up of Successful Mums, Belina Grow, Women’s Work Lab and Transform Lives.
